Fix bank sync issues
What to check when a connection stops updating, transactions are missing, or an institution is unavailable.
If a connected account looks stale, open the account and refresh the connection. Many sync issues come from expired institution authorization, changed bank credentials, temporary provider downtime, or multi-factor prompts that need to be completed again.
If transactions are missing, first compare the account balance and date range against the bank. Some institutions delay pending transactions, rename merchants, or expose only a limited history window. Add critical missing transactions manually if you need the budget to be accurate immediately.
If your bank is not available, use manual tracking until coverage exists. Manual accounts still support budgets, net worth, debt payoff, and goals even without automatic sync.
