MCP lets your assistant request a specific Nethaven capability. OAuth identifies your account, and the tool schema limits what each call can request.

The tool boundary

Useful access, deliberately narrow

Nethaven publishes a fixed tool set. A connected client cannot invent a new operation or browse the rest of the app.

The current server exposes 14 read tools and four write tools. Every valid connection sees the same set, so review your client’s tool permissions before enabling it.

Spending summaries keep currencies separate and default to this month through today in your profile timezone. Savings and debt records have no stored currency, so their tools return no currency label or combined total.

Nethaven limits what each tool can return. The selected result still passes through your connected AI provider so it can answer.

    MCP calls share a limit of 60 requests per minute per user.

Revocation does not remove information already included in an AI conversation. Review your provider’s privacy, retention, and tool approval settings before connecting sensitive financial data. Read the security overview and privacy policy.

Nethaven uses remote Streamable HTTP with OAuth. Client plans, workspace policies, setup paths, and write permissions change independently.
