How does Nethaven connect to my bank accounts?

When you link a bank or card, you sign in through a secure connection partner (Plaid) — Nethaven never sees or stores your online banking username or password. The connection is read-only: we receive account metadata, balances, and transactions, but we cannot move money, initiate transfers, or make changes at your bank on your behalf. Which banks you can connect depends on your region and what your institution supports through Plaid.

How does Nethaven connect to brokerage accounts?

Brokerages connect through SnapTrade, which handles the sign-in securely — your credentials are not stored in Nethaven. Once connected, your holdings, balances, and position values sync automatically where your brokerage and region are supported. The connection is read-only: we display what you hold, we do not place trades or move funds. If your specific brokerage is not yet supported, you can record holdings manually and update them when you want.

Can I track crypto in Nethaven?

Yes. You can add wallet addresses or supported exchange holdings to track balances, and Nethaven reflects them in the same portfolio and net worth view as your stocks, cash, property, and other assets. Tracking is read-only — Nethaven never asks for your private keys or seed phrase, and it never takes custody of your funds. Coverage varies by wallet and exchange; for assets we do not support, you can record them as manual portfolio entries.

Can I use Nethaven without connecting accounts?

Yes. You can add manual accounts, transactions, debts, savings goals, subscriptions, and portfolio assets yourself. Bank and brokerage sync are optional and reduce manual entry when your institution is supported. Many people start with manual tracking and turn on connections later, or run a mix: connected accounts for cash flow, manual entries for property, vehicles, and other valuables that do not sync automatically.

Which banks and brokerages are supported?

Coverage depends on your region. When you go to connect an account, you will see the banks and brokerages available to you. In the US and Canada, the major banks and brokerages are generally supported through Plaid and SnapTrade, with additional regions handled where those providers operate. If yours is not listed, you can still track it by adding the account manually, and the rest of the dashboard — budgets, net worth, goals — continues to work.

Does Nethaven store my login credentials?

Accepted Answer

No. Bank and card sign-ins are handled by Plaid, and brokerage sign-ins by SnapTrade. Your institution usernames and passwords are never stored on Nethaven's servers. We only hold what we need to keep your session signed in on this device and to receive account and transaction data from these providers, all encrypted in transit and at rest.

Accounts, credit cards, transactions, budgets, transaction rules, debts, savings goals, subscriptions, crypto, stocks, ETFs, property, vehicles, luxury items, and interest-bearing accounts. Manual entries fill in anything that does not connect automatically, so your net worth and budgets stay complete even for assets that live outside the supported integrations.

Can I categorize transactions and set budgets?

Yes. Assign categories, build budgets, and use transaction rules to auto-categorize recurring merchants so monthly reviews take less time. Nethaven is flexible — you can set up classic 50/30/20, zero-based envelopes, or your own custom categories. The same categories power budget limits, transaction review, and the short queue of uncategorized items that needs a human pass.

Can I share finances with a partner or household?

Yes. Send an invitation code so others can join a shared budget and see the same accounts. Everyone still signs in with their own login, and no one hands over their password. Connected accounts from each member roll up into the household's combined view, while each person keeps control of which personal accounts to link. Removing a member is a single step in household settings.

Yes, for the accounts you connect. Bank, credit, and brokerage balances refresh automatically, and crypto holdings update from the wallets and exchanges you link. Assets that cannot connect — like a home, a car, or a private investment — are added once and updated only when their value changes. Net worth is shown next to budgets, debt, and goals, so you can see what moved the number this month.

Do I need to install anything to use the web app?

No installation is required. Open the web app in any modern browser on a desktop or laptop and sign in. The web app is designed for the things that benefit from a bigger screen — dashboards, transaction review, and reports — while the mobile apps handle day-to-day entries and notifications.

How does pricing work?

Nethaven Pro is purchased in the app with weekly, monthly, or yearly billing through Apple or Google. Exact prices and trial terms are shown by the App Store or Google Play checkout for your region, and the same plans are available on the web. Free features are clearly marked: most people can use the calculators, the manual tracking, and the household sharing on a free plan and only upgrade when they want automatic bank and brokerage sync.

Free features include the web app, manual account and transaction tracking, budgets, transaction rules, debt and savings tracking, subscription tracking, household sharing, and every calculator on this site. Nethaven Pro adds bank connection (Plaid), brokerage connection (SnapTrade), and read-only crypto tracking, plus the time-saving automations that go with them. If a feature requires Pro, it is labeled in-app before you commit.

Is there a free trial of Nethaven Pro?

Accepted Answer

When a trial is available in your region, the App Store or Google Play checkout will offer it before charging. We do not require a credit card to start a free account, and you can stay on the free tier indefinitely. If a trial is offered, you can cancel before it ends and keep the Pro features through the end of the trial period.

The yearly plan is the cheapest on a per-month basis, the monthly plan is the most flexible, and the weekly plan is useful if you want to try Pro for a short window without committing. Apple and Google set the final regional prices; the App Store or Google Play listing for your account shows the exact amounts in your local currency.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by Nethaven. On iOS, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, pick Nethaven, and choose Cancel. On Android, open the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions, pick Nethaven, and choose Cancel. Your Pro features stay active until the end of the current billing period, then the app returns to the free tier automatically — your data is never deleted because you cancel.

Can I get a refund?

Refund policy is set by Apple and Google. If you believe a charge is wrong, request a refund through the App Store (reportaproblem.apple.com) or Google Play (support.google.com/googleplay). We are happy to help you find the right path, but the actual refund is issued by the store that processed the payment.

What does Nethaven do with my data?

We use your data to operate the product — to sync accounts, show transactions, build budgets, calculate net worth, and run the features you turn on. We do not sell your personal data, we do not run advertising, and we do not share your data with data brokers. First-party analytics (Vexo and Firebase Crashlytics) is used only to keep the product reliable, and you can disable analytics in Privacy Settings. Does Nethaven track me across other apps?

Accepted Answer

No. Nethaven does not use advertising identifiers (like the IDFA), does not link our data with third-party data for advertising, and does not share data with data brokers. Because we do not engage in tracking as defined by Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework, the iOS app does not show an ATT prompt. If you want, you can disable first-party analytics from Privacy Settings.

Can I export my data?

Yes. You can export your data in common formats from in-app settings, including transactions, accounts, budgets, and portfolio entries. The export is intended to be portable — you should be able to open it in a spreadsheet or import it into another tool. If you want help with a specific export, contact support and we will walk you through it.

Question 22

What happens to my data if I delete my account?

Accepted Answer

You can request account deletion from app settings (Settings → Delete Account). Deletion removes the account and the financial data tied to it, with limited exceptions where we are required to keep records for legal or compliance reasons. If you cannot access the app, contact support@nethaven.app for privacy or deletion help and we will process the request once identity is verified.

Is Nethaven investment advice?

No. Nethaven is an organizational and analytics tool for your own financial data. It does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice, and nothing in the app should be read as a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold a security, crypto asset, or any other investment. For advice tailored to your situation, work with a licensed financial professional.

Nethaven is available worldwide in the App Store and Google Play. The list of banks and brokerages you can connect depends on what Plaid and SnapTrade support in your country, so coverage is strongest in the US and Canada and varies elsewhere. Manual tracking, budgets, debts, goals, subscriptions, and crypto tracking are available everywhere.
