Mint Alternatives for Crypto and Net Worth

Compare Monarch, Kubera, and Nethaven for tracking crypto alongside your other assets. Check wallet imports, manual entries, and coverage before switching.

Choose a Mint alternative by checking how it imports your crypto and combines it with the rest of your finances. This comparison covers Monarch, Kubera, and Nethaven using documented connection methods, manual tracking options, and coverage limits. Start with the exchanges and wallets you actually use, then check the resulting totals against your own records.

Key takeaways

  • Choose an import method that matches where you hold crypto, then verify the resulting quantities.
  • A price feed can update a valuation while the recorded quantity stays out of date.
  • Count each holding once, and distinguish total net worth from money you can access now.

Compare three Mint alternatives for crypto

Monarch, Kubera, and Nethaven offer different routes to including crypto in a broader financial picture. Start with the import method, because a tool that prices a coin does not necessarily retrieve your balance.

Documented crypto tracking methods, reviewed September 5, 2026. Coverage depends on the asset and connection.
Option Crypto input Check first
Monarch Coinbase holdings, manual balances, or manual security quantities. Investment guide. Asset coverage and missing or stale prices.
Kubera Supported exchanges, wallet addresses, or manual crypto tickers. Connection guide. Your exchange, chain, and other financial accounts.
Nethaven Supported public-wallet holdings imported in the mobile app, or manual holdings. Portfolio overview. Import coverage and keeping saved quantities current.

Nethaven publishes this guide and is one of the products compared. We reviewed official documentation and Nethaven's current implementation on September 5, 2026. These three options have documented workflows for including crypto alongside other assets. We have not tested every connection or measured synchronization reliability.

Monarch for Coinbase holdings alongside everyday finances

Consider Monarch when you want Coinbase holdings alongside budgeting and other accounts. Its getting-started guide covers budgets, goals, and net worth. The investment guide describes Coinbase crypto inclusion and two manual options: enter an account balance or track individual securities and quantities.

Those manual options need different maintenance. A supported security can receive price updates, but you still need to correct a manually tracked quantity after a trade. Monarch warns that unsupported securities can have frozen prices and that holdings totals can differ from account balances. Check both against your source account. Public-address import for an arbitrary self-custody wallet was not established by the guide we reviewed.

Monarch excludes crypto that is loaned out, borrowed, or used as collateral from its reported net worth. Treat that as Monarch's calculation policy, and reconcile it with your own assets and debts.

Kubera for exchanges, public wallets, and other assets

Consider Kubera when the connection list is the deciding factor. Its exchange guide names Coinbase, Binance, and Kraken. Its wallet guide describes selecting a supported chain and entering a public address. A wallet brand does not need a separate listing if the chain and address are supported.

Kubera's net-worth tracker combines crypto with banks, brokerages, and other assets. If a holding cannot connect, its manual ticker guide explains how to enter a coin and quantity. You must update that quantity when your holdings change. Verify the particular asset and connection rather than treating a supported chain as a promise to cover every token or protocol.

Nethaven for importing supported holdings into your portfolio

Nethaven's mobile wallet-import flow retrieves holdings for a supported public address and lets you review which assets to add. You can also enter crypto holdings manually. Those holdings sit alongside other assets in the portfolio and net-worth view.

An import creates portfolio records. It is not a promise that future wallet transfers will automatically change those saved quantities. Review them after trades or transfers, even when market prices update. Chain, token, history, and valuation coverage vary. This public-address workflow also does not establish support for connecting an exchange account with API credentials.

Before paying for any option, check the current Monarch plans, Kubera plans, and Nethaven plans. Compare the features and account limits you need. This shortlist does not rank the products by price or assume their trials have the same terms.

Separate balance updates from price updates

A changing valuation can hide an unchanged quantity. Check both before trusting a tracker after a purchase, sale, or transfer.

  • Exchange connection. The tracker requests data from an exchange through its supported authorization method. Check which balances it includes and whether a failed connection leaves an old value on screen.
  • Public wallet address. The tracker reads supported on-chain holdings without an exchange login. Check whether this is a one-time import or an ongoing connection. Neither the wallet's brand nor a quoted token price establishes complete coverage.
  • Manual quantity. You enter the amount of a coin you hold. A supported market feed can update its price, but it cannot infer an unrecorded change in quantity.
  • Manual balance. You enter a total value. Review that value when either the holding or its market price changes.

For example, if you enter two units and later sell one, a fresh price multiplied by two still produces the wrong total. Updating prices solves only half of that problem.

Count crypto once and show access restrictions separately

Investor.gov defines net worth as assets minus liabilities. Liquidity asks how readily an asset can become spendable money. These measures answer different questions.

For crypto, check ownership and whether you can support the estimated value. A lockup alone does not erase an owned asset. Record withdrawal restrictions separately, and distinguish an owned holding from an unvested reward or uncertain claim. A quoted price alone may not establish what you could recover.

The example below uses invented values to show reconciliation. It is not a customer portfolio, a price forecast, or a suggested allocation.

Illustrative net-worth calculation, with each holding recorded once
Item Value
Cash$12,000
Brokerage holdings$8,000
Exchange crypto$3,000
Self-custody crypto$2,000
Debt to subtract$5,000
Net worth$20,000

If the $2,000 wallet also appears as a manual holding, the displayed total becomes $22,000. Remove the duplicate record, not the actual asset. Likewise, moving crypto between your own exchange and wallet does not create a second holding. Reconcile both ends of the transfer.

If that wallet holding is restricted, note the restriction without automatically deleting it from total net worth. A separate liquid subtotal needs its own inclusion rules for every asset. The net-worth calculator can help you check the basic assets-minus-debts arithmetic.

Move your records without trusting the first total

  1. List your accounts and holdings. Record where each asset is held, its quantity, and whether it needs a connection or manual entry.
  2. Check the exact coverage. Verify your institution, exchange, chain, and asset. Try the workflow you need before committing to a paid plan.
  3. Reconcile the first import. Compare the recorded quantities and values with your source accounts at a consistent review time. Investigate missing holdings and duplicates.
  4. Keep history separate from today's balances. An old transaction export does not establish current wallet holdings. If you saved one, use the guide to working with an old Mint export.
  5. Set a review routine. Check manual entries after holdings change, and inspect connected accounts when a refresh fails. A dashboard total is useful only when you understand what it includes.

For the broader budgeting and bank-account decision, read the Mint replacement overview. If Nethaven fits your holdings, check its portfolio coverage before adding your accounts.

What Mint and Credit Karma actually supported

Mint did support a Coinbase Bitcoin integration. Coinbase announced it in January 2014, allowing Bitcoin transactions to appear alongside traditional financial accounts. That historical support does not establish coverage for every token, exchange, or wallet.

Credit Karma also offers net-worth tracking, as its August 2026 net-worth guide confirms. Check the specific crypto connections and financial workflows you need. The existence of that feature does not establish full Mint feature parity.

Frequently asked questions

Did Mint ever support crypto?

Yes. Coinbase announced a Bitcoin integration with Mint in January 2014. That establishes historical support for that integration, not support for every exchange, wallet, or chain.

What should I look for in a crypto-capable Mint alternative?

Check support for the exchanges and wallets you use, how quantities and prices update, and whether crypto is included with your other assets and liabilities. Check manual entry options for anything that cannot connect.

Should crypto count toward my net worth the same as cash?

Crypto and cash can both be assets, but they have different price risks and access restrictions. Separate total net worth from immediately available funds. Evaluate ownership and supportable value instead of excluding every locked holding or including every quoted token balance.

Can I track crypto without an exchange API key?

Yes, depending on the tool. A supported public wallet address can provide read-only chain data without exchange credentials. Manual quantity or balance entry is another option. Check whether a wallet workflow imports a snapshot or maintains an ongoing connection, and update saved holdings when needed.

Do I need a separate crypto portfolio app and a net-worth tracker?

A broader tracker may cover both jobs if it supports your holdings and the detail you need. If you use separate tools, reconcile the totals and avoid recording the same holding twice.

Does Credit Karma track net worth?

Yes. Credit Karma's current documentation describes its Net Worth feature. Check the connections and workflows you need before deciding whether it fits. The existence of net-worth tracking does not establish full Mint feature parity.
