Importing Lunch Money to Nethaven brings over transactions, asset names, payees, categories, notes, tags, currency, and optional budget month history when you include a supported budget CSV. It does not recreate rules, recurring items, Plaid connections, tags as separate objects, or loan payoff details.

How do I export from Lunch Money?

Export Lunch Money transactions as CSV. If you want budget history too, include the matching budget CSV with month, category, budgeted, activity, and available columns.

How do I upload it to Nethaven?

Create or sign in to Nethaven with Lunch Money selected, then upload the export in the import wizard.

What should I review before importing?

Check transaction counts, budget month counts, currencies, account names, category names, and warnings before confirming.

What transfers from Lunch Money to Nethaven?

The Lunch Money importer reads the transaction export and imports accounts from asset names, transactions, payees, categories, notes, tags as memo context, and currency when present. If a supported budget CSV is included, monthly budget rows can transfer too.

What does not transfer from Lunch Money?

Nethaven does not recreate Lunch Money rules, recurring items, Plaid connections, API settings, tags as separate structured objects, or loan payoff details. Transfers are inferred from same-day opposite-sign amounts when the export does not mark them clearly.

How do I avoid common Lunch Money import failures?

Wrong file uploaded

Upload the Lunch Money transaction CSV, and include the budget CSV only if it has the expected budget columns.

Budget rows are missing

Budget history imports only when the upload includes a supported budget CSV. A transaction-only export cannot recreate monthly budget allocations.

Currencies need review

Lunch Money exports can include currency values. Review the preview carefully if accounts use multiple currencies or if a spreadsheet rewrote number formats.
