How do I export from Monarch?
In Monarch Money, export your transactions CSV and keep the original file unchanged.
Monarch import
Importing Monarch Money to Nethaven brings over transaction history, account names, categories, merchants, notes, and tags from the Monarch transaction export. It does not include opening balances, budget history, goals, recurring rules, or marked transfers. Review the preview carefully, then correct account balances after import if needed.

Transactions CSV, reviewed before import
In Monarch Money, export your transactions CSV and keep the original file unchanged.
Create or sign in to Nethaven with Monarch selected, then upload the transactions CSV in the import wizard.
Check row counts, account names, category mapping, balance warnings, and inferred transfers before confirming.
The Monarch importer reads the transaction register. It builds accounts from the account column, imports transactions, preserves categories, and carries merchant, note, and tag context when present. This gives you spending history for review and reporting, but it is not a full Monarch workspace clone.
The export does not include opening balances. Nethaven creates accounts from the activity it sees, so imported account balances are the sum of imported transactions until you correct the account balance in Nethaven. Transfers are not marked in the file. Nethaven infers them by matching same-day opposite-sign amounts across accounts, which means some transfers can import as two ordinary transactions. Monarch budget history, goals, recurring rules, subscriptions, and loan payoff details are not imported from the transaction CSV.

If your locale uses comma decimals, upload the original CSV or zip. Spreadsheet apps can rewrite separators and make amounts ambiguous.
Use the Monarch Money alternative if you are still deciding whether Nethaven fits your workflow. Use this import page when the decision is made and the remaining question is how much history can move with you.
